You can be assured of a very friendly atmosphere at Wombleton, a small Caravan & Camping Park personally run by the Willoughby family.
Wombleton Village is ideally placed just a few miles from the picturesque town of Helmsley, and the surrounding area offers an array of amenities, activities and attractions. The local pub is just only one mile away.
Our pitches are of a generous size - gravel or grass. Concrete bases for motorhomes,
all pitches with electric hook ups.
We have a new modern, clean toilet block with a disabled/family room. The facilities include power showers, hairdryers, shaver and power points for your own appliances. Both the ladies & gents toilets have two individual private cubicles with hand basins. There is an indoor washing up room with ample hot water.
We are pleased to offer our guests a small shop which stocks general groceries, a few caravan accessories, gas exchange and charcoal for the barbecue. Next to the shop is a small information room with lending library and brochures, open day and night.
We also encourage guests to make full use of our recycling facilities, also we are happy to provide a park wide wifi service.
Wombleton Caravan Park website editor has launched a new element to the website, you can have your own photo on our website! All you have to do is take a photo of the park or something happening on the park e.g. the falconry display, which is in on the Queen's Jubilee this June. The customer's photo which gets picked will end up on the website for a month , please keep it clean haha!

Just back from our first camping holiday, we picked this site as it was fairly near to home and the reviews here were good and after staying I can fully understand why. We only stayed two nights and if not for prior commitments we could have quite easily stayed another couple and we will definitely be returning.

We cannot fault the site or the owners in any way. As previously decribed the facilities are excellent, and we found David to be very east to get on with. Indeed, when I inadvertently tripped out all the electric on the site he dealt with the matter very tactfully and defused a potentially difficult situation. Brenda was always happy to have a chat and pointed us in the direction of some pubs serving great food nearby.
The whole ethos of the site is based on peace and quiet, so, if you want the 'Butlins experience' don't bother, there are plenty of sites locally that can provide this. Having said that there were a lot of children on site and they were all really well behaved, a big 'Thank you' to them, and the parents / grandparents for keeping in with the spirit of the place.
